Air Fresheners For Cars
|
I got into my Jeep the other day after my husband and kids had traveled down to Georgia in it. When I got in the car, there was an absolutely terrible smell that I couldn't identify. After some searching in the back seat, I found that one of the children had left a milkshake in my car to bake in the hot sun. Imagine the smell of soured milk that has been baking in the sun for three days. It was disgusting. After I got rid of the offending milkshake and rolled down all of the windows, it still smelled like rotten milk. I promptly when on an air freshener mission. Air fresheners for cars come in many different varieties. I personally don't typically use air fresheners because I like that new car smell. I'm sure that many of you feel differently especially if you've ever ridden in the car of a smoker. When I went to my local store, I found air fresheners for cars in a couple different locations. The first and most obvious was in the automotive section and the second was in the cleaning products section.
The air fresheners that you find in the automotive section come in several different colors, designs and scents. For the most part, you will find the scented cardboard types that you can hang from your rearview mirror. I am not a fan of mirror clutter so, if I buy an air freshener, I usually hang them on the back seats. If you don't like the cardboard air fresheners for cars, you can also purchase the gel varieties that can in a little can with a sticky back. The theory here is that you can hide them under the dash but the truth is, the stick stuff just doesn't stick that well.
There is another variety of the gel air fresheners that clip up on your sun visor. Bath and Body Works makes some in a variety of delicious smells. I buy these sometimes during the holiday season when I'm feeling the Christmas spirit. They last a long time and are not right in your line of sight like they are when they hang from the rearview mirror. In the cleaning section, you can buy liquid air fresheners that clip to your air vents and release smell as the air blows through them. These air fresheners are nice and last a lot longer than the cardboard ones. Just be ready to spend more money on them. Air fresheners for cars come in many different varieties. It shouldn't take you long to find one that suits you. |
